Westminster Dog Show 2011

On February 14 and 15, the 2011 Westminster Kennel Dog Show took place in New York.  Created in 1877, this was the 135^th show,  making it the oldest purebred dog show.  The dogs entered are judged against their breed standard.  The doberman has won the Westminster Best In Show four times: 1939, 1952, 1953, 1989.

As usual the Westminster Dog Show attracted PETA, the controversial animal rights group. They protested outside the event, holding signs that read “Breeders Kill Shelter Dogs Chances”. Read More » » »
